Terms of Service

These beta terms govern your account, the desktop software and related services. By creating an account you agree to use the service lawfully, protect your credentials and review consequential actions before approval.

Local-first service

Memory, prompts, files, conversations and model credentials stay on your device by default. Data may leave your device when you choose a remote model, connector, MCP server, personal sync, collaboration, support submission or publication.

Your content and submissions

You retain your rights in submitted content. A publication submission grants BYO AI Computer the limited permission needed to review, scan, host and display the approved version. You may withdraw an unpublished submission. Published material may be removed for security, policy or intellectual-property reasons.

Beta limitations

The beta may change, contain defects or be withdrawn. Do not rely on it for emergencies, regulated professional decisions or irreplaceable data. Keep independent backups and verify AI output.

External services

Models, connectors and storage providers you select have their own prices, terms and data practices. The Free plan does not include BYO-funded model usage.

These operational beta terms must be reviewed and completed with the legal entity, contact details, governing law and consumer rights before paid commercial launch.
